“I have been a member of PCU for many, many years now and each time I need a loan, have a question, or need assistance with any financial matters, the staff have always been there to assist and understand my situation. This time was no exception. Andre was extremely professional, kept in touch with me each step of the way, and was very knowledgeable with his answers and direction to all my needs and concerns. Exemplary staff members like Andre are the reason I kept my account with the credit union when I relocated to North Carolina.”

Balance Transfer Credit Card FAQs
Common questions about our balance transfer credit card.
What’s the main advantage of a balance transfer card?
You’ll pay less interest, simplify your payments, and have a clear path to paying off your debt faster.
Will transferring a balance affect my credit score?
Applying for new credit can cause a small, temporary dip in your score. But consolidating your debt and making on-time payments can help improve your credit over time.
Is there a limit on how much I can transfer?
Your transfer amount can be as much as your total available credit limit, so you can move all or part of your balances as needed.
How long does a balance transfer take?
When you apply for our balance transfer card, the request is sent to our Electronic Services team for processing. Our team then sends a check to your original card processor. Because of this, the transfer can take about 7-10 business days.
Can I still use the card for new purchases?
Yes, but we recommend focusing on paying down your transferred balance first to get the most benefit from the 0% APR1 interest rate.
